Welcome to Natura Montessori Academy!
Natura Montessori Academy offers a rich, inclusive learning environment that nurtures the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. We are dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education through a balanced approach, combining the proven structure of Montessori Pedagogy with the creativity and flexibility of exploration-based learning. We believe every child is unique, curious, and capable. Our programs are designed to cultivate independence, inspire discovery, and help children honour their inner drive of a lifelong love of learning.
Our Integrated Teaching Philosophy at Natura:
We bring together the Classic Montessori philosophy and exploration-based learning to provide a well-rounded, developmentally appropriate experience: The classic Montessori approach encourages independence, hands-on exploration, and respect for each child’s individual learning pace. Our exploration-based model supports social-emotional growth, imagination, and joyful learning through purposeful play. Children are guided through both structured Montessori materials and open-ended activities, creating a harmonious blend of focus and freedom. To further enrich the experience, we incorporate: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics); along with learning Phonics & Early Literacy; Drama & Music; Art exploration & Outdoor activities, Reggio-inspired provocations to spark imagination and inquiry; French Language introduction – gently immersing children in basic French vocabulary through singing, movement and games.
In our large outdoor learning environment, our children enjoy nearly 6,000 square feet of
vibrant outdoor space, including:
🌱 Planting & Gardening zones where children learn about nature and responsibility.
🎨 Outdoor Art for painting, sculpting, and messy creative expression.
🧗 Gross Motor & Movement zones to develop coordination and confidence.
🌿 Sensory paths & Nature corners that encourage mindfulness and exploration.
🧑🍳 Outdoor Kitchen play area for imaginative and cooperative play.
Outdoor play is a part of our daily rhythm, fostering physical development, creativity, community collaboration in dramatic play, problem-solving, and connection to the environment.
